IPL 2021: Trent Boult passes his Hindi language test with flying colors
Mumbai Indians (MI) scripted a memorable victory against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the fifth match of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After the thrilling encounter, Mumbai’s highest run-getter Suryakumar Yadav was involved in a fun activity with New Zealand’s left-arm seamer Trent Boult. In a video shared on the official Twitter handle of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Surya can be seen taking the Hindi test of the seamer.
Boult produced a sensational performance as he took two wickets while giving away just four runs to win it for his team. Thus, Suryakumar asked Trent in Hindi regarding his thoughts about the last over. To this, the New Zealand seamer managed to spring a surprise by replying, ‘Bahut acha’ meaning ‘very good’. “When SKY meets Thunder Boult. Batting brilliance, last-over nerves & some fun in Hindi,” the handle tweeted.

MI produce a disciplined bowling performance
The match commenced with Eoin Morgan winning the toss and inviting Rohit Sharma & Co. to bat first. After losing De Kock early in the game, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a crucial partnership of 76 runs. However, the dismissal of Yadav in the 11th over initiated a collapse of the MI batting line-up.
Andre Russell ran through the opposition’s middle-order to pick five wickets while giving just 15 runs in his two overs. Thus, Mumbai ended up with a below-par total of 152 runs with Yadav as the highest run-getter with 56 runs under his belt.
Chasing 153, KKR got off to a good start as Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill collected 72 runs in 9 overs. However, towards the end of the innings, KKR lost all the momentum as MI presented a stunning bowling performance. The Knight Riders could neither score runs in the second half nor could hold their wickets. As a result, they lost the game by 10 runs.
