The IPL teams had a deadline of 20th January to declare their squads ahead of the IPL 2021 Auction. Their purse in the auction depends on the players retained and players released. Thus it is imperative for the team to balance their shortcomings and their purse which will impact their buying ability. All eight teams have now declared their retentions and released players.
