IPL 2021: SRH vs RR Preview – Beleaguered Hyderabad up against depleted Rajasthan
Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are all set to play against each other at the Dubai International Stadium on September 27. The last time these two teams met at the venue, it was an outstanding thriller with the Royals winning the match after which tensions between the two sides were a bit high. But, that level of intensity might not be there in this game.
Hyderabad have been knocked out of the tournament with their eighth loss in nine matches. They would be looking to get two points, for a bit of respectability more than anything. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, have lost five and won four and still have a lot to play for. If they manage to get two points, their march towards the playoffs would get a little faster. Royals also had the wood over Hyderabad in the first leg, which should be enough for them to come into this match with a bit of spirit, which might have deflated after their loss against Delhi. The Royals will be favourites for this match.

IPL 2021 Match 40 – Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals
Venue: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Team News:
Sunrisers Hyderabad: The season had started back in India for Sunrisers Hyderabad with consecutive losses and constant changes in their XI. However, in the UAE leg, despite the loss in the first outing, they stuck to the same side. After another loss, they might think of making a couple of changes given that qualification is not on the cards. David Warner’s place is under threat once again. Kane Williamson, Jason Holder and Rashid Khan will be three confirmed overseas picks. The Indian contingent might get a bit of a reshuffle, but the bench strength is not too attractive at this moment for SRH.
Rajasthan Royals: Evin Lewis had a good start to his Royals stint but immediately got replaced due to a niggle. Chris Morris also missed out in the last game. But, this allowed the Royals to give David Miller and Tabraiz Shamsi a game. Despite both the players not contributing much, it would be unfair to not stick to them. Liam Livingstone and Mustafizur Rahman have rightly become the two first-choice overseas picks. Rajasthan, unlike Hyderabad, have better bench strength, but any singular change might result in a couple more because of combinations. They might just stick to the same side.
