IPL 2021: SRH vs PBKS Preview – Hyderabad, Punjab hope to get back to winning ways
The time has started ticking already for Sunrisers Hyderabad. After their seventh loss, which came in their first game of the UAE leg, they are hanging in a position where they might need to win all their matches to even stand a chance for qualification. Things won’t get easy for them against Punjab Kings, but they should remember their only win in this campaign has come against KL Rahul’s side.
Punjab on the other hand are completely distraught after their loss of two-run against Rajasthan Royals. They have played nine already, winning only three and it is high time they start registering some points. They have a good team but something is still lacking. If they are able to fill in some holes, they might be able to beat an underconfident Sunrisers side.

Match Info
IPL 2021 Match 37 – Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Punjab Kings
Venue: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Team News:
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Well it seems like everything is falling apart for Hyderabad this season. David Warner, Kane Williamson, Jason Holder and Rashid Khan were the overseas stars who played in the previous match. Holder might retain his place in the side despite not having a good day. For Sharjah, it won’t make a lot of sense to bring in Mohammad Nabi, but SRH might be well served with his batting, if he comes back. The Indian contingent should be the same but the team management knows that the time is running out for them.
Punjab Kings: Punjab Kings will feel bad about how the last game went but they have one selection conundrum to solve. Chris Gayle was dropped from the XI in the previous match with Aiden Markram making his IPL debut for Punjab. Adil Rashid and Fabian Allen were also used along with Nicholas Pooran, who seems to be the first overseas name in their XI. If Gayle comes in, we might also see Ravi Bishnoi in the team, but that will happen with Gayle replacing Rashid. The rest of the combination is likely to be the same.
