IPL 2021 SRH vs KKR – KKR’s new milestone, Rana’s record and other numbers
Kolkata Knight Riders have started their campaign in IPL 2021 with a scintillating win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They won the third game of the 14th season by 10 runs. SRH captain David Warner won the toss in this game and elected to bowl first. KKR batting line up had a good outing as they posted a challenging total of 187/6 in 20 overs.
Nitish Rana top-scored for them with 80 runs coming off his bat from 56 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Rahul Tripathi also made a vital contribution of 53 runs in 29 balls including 5 fours and 2 sixes. Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took 2 wickets each for SRH.
Chasing this target, Hyderabad lost their captain David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha early in the innings. Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow added 92 runs for the third wicket but it was not enough for a win. The former remained not out till the end scoring 61 runs off 44 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. Bairstow played a fine knock of 55 runs off 40 balls.
SRH could manage a score of 177/5 in 20 overs thus losing the game by 10 runs. Nitish Rana was adjudged player of the match for his brilliant knock.

12– This was the 13th win for KKR against SRH in the cash-rich league. They have the record for most wins against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL history.
2 – Nitish Rana’s score of 80 runs is the second-highest individual score for KKR against SRH in IPL. Gautam Gambhir who hit 90 runs off 60 balls against SRH in IPL 2016 is sitting at the top.
1500– Nitish Rana completed his 1500 IPL runs with a wonderful half-century in this match.
1000 – Rahul Tripathi crossed the 1000-run mark in his IPL career with a fine fifty against SRH in this game.
