IPL 2021: RCB vs SRH Preview – High-flying Bangalore take on bottom-placed Hyderabad
Royal Challengers Bangalore is all set to meet Sunrisers Hyderabad with an eye on the top two spots in the points table. Virat Kohli and his men have already sealed a place for themselves in the playoffs, with their eighth win of the season, which came against Punjab Kings in their last outing. They have a good momentum going in this match, having won three games in a row, which won’t be easy to tackle for a team like Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Hyderabad failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in six seasons, but it has been much worse than anyone would’ve expected. With just two wins in 12 matches, Hyderabad seem like a team that has nothing going well for them, but a lot of responsibility for this downfall has to be taken by their batting. Nevertheless, RCB will be starting as favourites in this South Indian derby, which has a bit more flavour to fall for, if you are a fan of either of these two sides.

Team News:
Royal Challengers Bangalore: When the season started RCB had a template with which they wanted to approach this season. They had AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell as two overseas picks, both of whom have been performing well for them so far. The same can’t be said about Dan Christian, whose impact hasn’t been too much so far. There is a scope that Tim David might just come in, but whether Virat Kohli would want to spoil the winning combination or not, it is to be seen. Kyle Jamieson should remain out of the XI with George Garton playing some good enough cricket. The rest of the XI doesn’t need any change and we might see the same line-up.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: The list of underwhelming performances by SRH in IPL 2021 saw a new chapter being added with their loss against Kolkata Knight Riders. With no pressure of qualifying for the playoffs, we might see them giving a go to youngsters. The overseas picks in the previous game were captain Kane Williamson, Jason Roy, Jason Holder and Rashid Khan. There is nothing that the SRH dug out would want to change about this pack. Umran Malik had made his debut in the last game and was impressive enough to maintain his place in the side.
