IPL 2021: KL Rahul’s father gets a bizarre mail from one of his students
Before the Indian Premier League, 2021 was indefinitely postponed, KL Rahul had to miss a match due to a medical emergency. The Punjab Kings captain had to be rushed to the hospital, on the night before the match between his side and Delhi Capitals, the game which turned out to be last before the tournament was suspended.
Just before this announcement was made, a fan sent quite a bizarre email to Rahul’s father, Dr. K.N. Lokesh. The mail was sent by a student of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, where Rahul’s father is a professor. K.N. Lokesh is a professor of the Civil Engineering department in the NIT-K.
The screenshot of the mail sent by the fan was uploaded by one of his senior college mates on Twitter.
So KL Rahul’s dad works a professor in my college. One of my juniors sent him an email with this. pic.twitter.com/z41A8NQaVF

Punjab Kings will have KL Rahul back whenever IPL 2021 resumes
The mail was sent before the tournament had to be postponed due to the rising cases of coronavirus. Rahul, on the other hand, would have missed a chunk of matches due to his operation of Appendicitis. The medical treatment of this disease requires a person to take rest for at least a week or two before one is okay and can resume their normal lives. This would have barred him from being a part of the Punjab Kings XI in some of their matches at least.
With uncertainty over the league’s schedule now, it can be safe to say that we will see KL Rahul in action whenever the tournament resumes again. He was in tremendous form with the bat before his untimely illness. In seven matches, he had scored 331 runs and was at the top of the batting charts. He was later overtaken by Shikhar Dhawan during the match between Delhi and Punjab, which was the game that Rahul missed.
