IPL 2021: KKR vs RCB rescheduled after 2 KKR players test positive for COVID-19
The 30th IPL match to be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday has been rescheduled as two players from the KKR squad, Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier, have tested positive for COVID-19. The match was to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad at 7:30 PM.

The IPL has issued a media advisory that provides the details of the development.
“Varun Chakaravarthy and Sandeep Warrier were found to be positive in the third round of testing in the last four days. All other team members have tested negative for COVID -19.Both the players have isolated themselves from the rest of the squad. The Medical Team is in continuous touch with the duo and are monitoring their health. Meanwhile, the Kolkata Knight Riders have now moved towards a daily testing routine to identify any other possible cases and treat them at the earliest,” the statement reads.
According to the protocols, both the players and the support staff are set to stay in isolation for a period of seven days to complete the bio-secure protocols before they can get back onto the field.
