IPL 2021: KKR vs RCB Preview – Stumbling Kolkata face high-flying Bangalore
As the second half of the IPL has begun, the teams have started facing their second match-up for the season. Kolkata Knight Riders are all set to take on Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have been quite magnificent in this tournament so far. Coming into this match, Virat Kohli and his men will be confident, having beaten KKR in the first round of matches.
Bangalore though is coming into this match after suffering a loss at the hands of Punjab Kings, who defeated them by a handsome margin. However, that was only their second loss this season, which coupled with their five wins. Kolkata has had a contrasting season, having won only two of their seven matches. They are, too, coming into this clash, after suffering a comprehensive defeat against Delhi Capitals.

Team News:
Kolkata Knight Riders: Kolkata lost another game as they stuck to the same XI. Despite losing five out of their seven matches, Kolkata is unlikely to change their combination. There hasn’t been an attempt from the KKR franchise to bring changes even after their team lost some consecutive matches. Having said that, Kolkata didn’t make any changes for their previous game, considering they had won the match before. The team has been in a desperate situation but they should stick to the same XI.
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Despite losing the last match against Punjab, Virat Kohli and his men will be aware that they are in a good position and making any changes to this side could turn out to be not ideal for them. Having said that, they should be going into this match without any changes to their side. Daniel Sams’ presence in the XI gives it a more balanced look and might in fact increase their chances of winning this match. Washington Sundar missed out in the previous match, but could possibly make a comeback considering the number of left-handed batsmen in the opposition. If that happens, Shahbaz Ahmed might be left out.
