IPL 2021: Jonny Bairstow names biggest prankster in SRH’s squad
England batter Jonny Bairstow was part of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) representing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He has been with the franchise since 2019 and has formed a destructive opening combination with David Warner. Naturally, being in the same team for two years gives players a chance to know more about the teammates on who is a prankster, bully, or funniest in the squad.
Bairstow too has revealed who is the prankster in the Sunrisers team and it is none other than Priyam Garg. The England batter’s sentiments were echoed by fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Brad Haddin too.
The SRH trio got together for a chat over tea sometime during IPL 2021, with the franchise sharing the clip of the same on Tuesday, June 1. Haddin was seen asking the duo on who they consider the most mischievous in the squad.
“Priyam (Garg). He’s the one that is up to mischief. He is the first one to try and cake bash you. He is the first one to sneak up on you. He’s always the quiet one saying ‘I don’t understand, I don’t understand. But he understands!” Bairstow exclaimed.
Kumar too was quick to agree on Bairstow’s choice but added that Garg remains silent whenever he is around and tries to act like a good guy.
“But he keeps quiet in front of me because I have known him since he was a kid. We practiced at the same place. He somehow keeps quiet in front of me and tries not to do any mischief,” Kumar revealed.
Who's the mischievous one according to @jbairstow21?

Priyam Garg a bright young talent for SRH and team India
A former Under-19 captain, Garg plays for Utter Pradesh in domestic cricket and for SRH in the IPL. During one of the matches against Chennai Super Kings in last year’s IPL, the right-hand batter displayed grit and application while making a half-century. He was unfazed after running out Kane Williamson and took SRH over the line.
This year Garg didn’t play in any game, but the franchise has earmarked him as the future top-order batter due to his calm and composed approach. He is also a bright prospect for the leadership role for India as experts feel he has street smartness.
