IPL 2021: Four overseas SRH players who will be regular starters

If there’s one definite team that has consistently made the best out of very little or being nothing provided then it has to be the SRH camp. Even in the 2021 auction, such shrewdness became very evident when the SRH think tank softly acquired the services of Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Once again their team looks well stacked and will surely be aiming for another playoff’s spot in the IPL 2021. So for that here’s our list of 4 overseas players being their regular starters in IPL 2021.

4. David Warner

Having Warner at the forefront and as the skipper of the team is a no brainer. The cricketer is arguably the team’s most essential commodity and a prominent cog at the top. Year on year, he has been the team’s biggest contributor in terms of runs and will be expected to continue scoring a pile of runs in the upcoming 2021 edition. In other words, he can also be called a reliable 550 run bank of his team. Overall since 2016, Warner has been averaging more than 55 with his bat and has amassed a total of 2729 runs. Hence having David Warner is always a dignified luxury that SRH exclusively enjoys.

3. Kane Williamson

Although he may not be a flashy cliche T20 batsman, we all know that for SRH his batting is a well-proven proposition. Mostly because of the team balance, Williamson has often been made to warm the bench, but in the previous season, he had an exceptional outing. In his 12 matches, the right-hander scored a total of 317 runs including 3 fifties by batting at an average of more than 45. Apart from his consistency, his calmness in pressure situations has always helped SRH to achieve key breakthroughs. In terms of his fit, he will be a value-added bolstering at the top just like David Warner and would be expected to bat deep.

2. Mitchell Marsh

While Mitchell Marsh has always been a white-ball sensation both in the BBL and in Australia’s domestic circuit, when it comes to the IPL then he is yet to prove his worth. He is a bonafide all-rounder whose bowling can become a viable option in terms of finishing the quota of the fifth bowler. In terms of batting, Marsh’s muscular hitting is well required in the team as there’s hardly any other cricketer who can as swiftly tonk the ball as him. As an SRH fan, one would be definitely hoping Marsh to arrive with his full fitness as in the previous edition he had encountered a strenuous injury.

1. Rashid Khan

The way his skipper David Warner does stand as a vital pillar in the batting order, similarly, Rashid Khan is a vital pillar of the bowling department. With carrying the reputation of being the best when it comes to containing runs, Rashid had a dazzling IPL 2020 where he took a total of 20 wickets while bowling with an economy rate of less than six (5.37). Since his debut in 2017, he has only donned the orange jersey in the IPL and once again would be eyeing a vigorous season with his team. In 2018, he had played a massive role in taking SRH into the finals, so something similar will be expected from him in the upcoming edition.
