IPL 2021: Dhoni’s eight-year-old tweet resurfaces after Jadeja takes four catches in CSK vs RR match
Ravindra Jadeja is a dynamite on the field. He is surely one of the best fielders in modern-day cricket, and having him in the side definitely acts as a big boost for the side irrespective of the format of the game. And, on 19th April 2021, Jadeja was in the thick of the action on the field.
He took as many as 4 catches in the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Mumbai. All the catches were taken by Jadeja when he was fielding on the boundary.
And now, an eight-year-old tweet by none other than CSK skipper and cricketing legend MS Dhoni has resurfaced on social media. On 9th April 2013, Dhoni had tweeted that Jadeja does not run to take a catch, but the ball manages to find him and lands in his hand.

Chennai Super Kings wallop Rajasthan Royals
In a one-sided encounter at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) thrashed the Sanju Samson led Rajasthan Royals (RR) side by 45 runs in the 12th Match of the 2021 edition of the IPL.
Batting first, the CSK side posted a gargantuan total of 188/9 on the board. Faf du Plessis was the highest run-scorer for the ‘Yellow Brigade’, and smashed a brisk 33 off just 17 deliveries. For the Rajasthan side, while left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya scalped 3 wickets, Chris Morris dismissed 2 batsmen.
In reply, the Rajasthan side crumbled. In their 20 overs, the ‘Men in Pink’ could muster only a total of 143/9. Apart from Jos Buttler, who scored 49, none of the other batsmen from the Rajasthan side could even cross the 25-run mark.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have now managed to get their campaign back on track by posting 2 consecutive victories on the trot and are occupying second place in the points table. They will play their next match of the 14th IPL edition on 21st April 2021 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) outfit.
