IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals rope in Saba Karim as their head of talent search
The runners-up of IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals have roped in former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman and national selector Saba Karim as their head of talent search. Karim’s tenure as the General Manager (Cricket Operations) for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ended in January 2021.

He also made a lone appearance in a Test match in 2000 but could score only 15 runs. Saba’s career abruptly came to an end as he suffered a freak eye injury in the early 2000s.
The information regarding Saba Karim joining DC as their head of talent search was provided by the official Twitter handle of the franchise.

Delhi Capitals is an exciting team to work with: Saba Karim
Saba Karim seemed excited regarding joining Delhi Capitals as he lavished praises on the franchise for their conduct in recent years. “I am very excited to begin my role as Talent Scout for the Delhi Capitals. The IPL has, over the years, unearthed so much talent, and continues to produce world-class action. Delhi Capitals is an exciting team to work with, and I am looking forward to helping them grow further,” Karim said as quoted by DC’s official website.
“Firstly, I would like to commend the incredible courage shown by the players during this year’s IPL. It’s not easy for anyone to stay away from their loved ones at this very difficult time. Yet they have stuck around, and continued playing the tournament, for which they deserve plenty of credit,” he added.
Meanwhile, DC is experiencing a dream run in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The franchise is positioned at the second place on the points table with five wins from seven games. They will now lock horns against Punjab Kings in the first reverse clash on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
