IPL 2021: DC vs RCB Preview – Delhi, Bangalore meet in a heavyweight clash
After winning both their matches in Chennai, Delhi Capitals have now travelled to Ahmedabad, where they will play their next few matches. They will face the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who until now in the tournament have been quite impressive. Both the teams have won four of their matches and lost one.
Delhi got over the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a super over, while RCB ended their four-match winning streak with a defeat against Chennai Super Kings. This game should be a good one, considering the fact that it is between two of the top teams in the league right now. Bangalore will be starting with an edge, having won 14 matches against Delhi. Capitals have won 10 matches against Bangalore, but two of those matches in the last season.

Team News:
Delhi Capitals: Ravichandran Ashwin suddenly announced that he will be leaving the IPL 2021 to take care of his family after Sunday’s match. DC went in with three spinners in the previous match. Axar Patel and Amit Mishra both might retain their spot in the line-up, but one can expect Delhi to get an Indian pacer in this match, replacing Ashwin. They do have Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav. Delhi can also bring in Chris Woakes in the team replacing Ashwin, but then Lalit Yadav might be brought into the match replacing one between Shimron Hetymer and Marcus Stoinis. Hence, a lot of things are on the cards for Delhi.
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Royal Challengers Bangalore brought back Navdeep Saini in the previous match to increase their bowling fire-power, but it directly affected their batting unit. With the middle order getting exposed, RCB could finally decide to replace Navdeep Saini with an Indian batsman. Daniel Sams could also be back in this side, replacing Dan Christian, who hasn’t had a tournament that he would have liked. The rest of the combination is unlikely to change.
