IPL 2021: CSK vs MI, Stats Preview- Upcoming records and approaching milestones
The IPL resumes on Sunday (September 19) with all the remaining matches taking place in the United Arab Emirates. The opening clash of the UAE leg will see Chennai Super Kings taking on Mumbai Indians at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.
Two of the most successful IPL franchises, CSK and MI share a history of the rivalry. While MI are the most successful IPL franchise with five titles in the bag, the MS Dhoni-led side holds second place with three trophies in the cabinet. They have won 111 of the 186 games they have played with a win percentage of 60.27, leading just ahead of their competitor Mumbai Indians (59.04). 5 – Hardik Pandya is five hits away from completing 100 sixes in IPL. In 87 games so far, Pandya has slammed 95 sixes.
2 – Ravindra Jadeja needs two sixes to reach 50 IPL sixes for Chennai Super Kings. He will be the fifth Indian player to do it for CSK after MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, and Ambati Rayudu.
