IPL 2021: CSK vs KKR Preview – Upbeat Chennai face rejuvenating Kolkata
After starting the second leg with a win against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders went on to beat defending champions Mumbai Indians. After their two dominating performances they would want to continue their good run against Chennai Super Kings. Chennai, too, have started their second leg with two wins, against similar opponents as Kolkata.
Chennai have now won seven out of their nine games, which makes them stand on the verge of qualification to the playoffs. Kolkata have won four out of their nine so far and would need to continue their consistent run if they have to make it to the top four. Chennai did beat Kolkata earlier this season which could be a good reason for KKR to be a little pumped up. Head to head, CSK are leading 16 to 9 and would want to make their 17th win happen.

IPL 2021 Match 38 – Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi
Time: 3:30 PM IST
Team News:
Kolkata Knight Riders: Everything Eoin Morgan has done so far in this second leg so far has worked quite well for his team. Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Lockie Ferguson and Morgan himself have been the four overseas picks so far in this tournament and it seems the plan is working properly so far. In terms of their Indian contingent, everyone, even the youngsters have responded well. Venkatesh Iyer has been a revelation and the combination won’t be tinkered with going into this important game.
Chennai Super Kings: Chennai Super Kings have now played with the same XI in two games straight. MS Dhoni is not someone who is known to change winning combinations and it is unlikely that he would do that here as well. Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, Moeen Ali have started almost every match of the tournament and they might get retained again. Josh Hazlewood has been preferred ahead of Sam Curran so far in this tournament and with Aussie doing well and CSK having enough batting prowess, we expect the same XI.
