IPL 2020: Bhuvneshwar Kumar ruled out of season, Prithvi Raj Yarra named replacement
Sunrisers Hyderabad lead pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the ongoing IPL due to a hip injury. The bowler got injured during delivering his over of the match against Chennai Super Kings. Bhuvneshwar could bowl only one delivery and had to go off the field as Khaleel Ahmed completed the remaining over. The pacer also missed SRH’s next game against Mumbai Indian which they went on to lose.

Bhuvneshwar featured in four matches for SRH in this season. While he was wicketless in the first two games, he managed three wickets in the last two matches. He has been very miserly with the ball, not conceding more than 30 runs in any of his spells.
Overall, Bhuvneshwar has played 121 IPL matches where he has taken 136 wickets. His tally is the highest by an Indian pace bowler in the IPL. He is also the only Indian cricketer to win the Purple Cap twice.
