Indian women’s cricketers welcome WIPL, Alyssa Healy lashes out at BCCI

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly surprised one and all with his sudden announcement of Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) being played this year. It will be played amongst four teams for 10 days from 1st to 10th November. While Indian cricketers celebrated the move, foreign cricketers were displeased with the event colliding with WBBL (Women’s Big Bash League).
Veteran journalist and cricket historian Boria Mujumdar broke the news from his Twitter account on Sunday, 2nd August.
In a very imp development @BCCI @SGanguly99 confirms women’s @IPL on the model of last year with 4 teams to be played between 1-10 November in UAE. @BCCIWomen @mandhana_smriti @ImHarmanpreet @JhulanG10 @M_Raj03 this is welcome news. Camp in October says Sourav. @IndiaToday

However, Australia’s wicketkeeper-batsman Alyssa Healy was displeased with the Indian event being staged in the same timeframe as that of the Australian women’s T20 tournament. The sixth edition of the WBBL will commence on 17th October and shall finish on 29th November.
Let me say what I’ve been avoiding:
Sooooo dumb
