Indian Cricketers pay their tributes to martyred soldiers

The torrent of grave news continued as the report of at least 20 Indian soldiers attaining martyrdom arrived on Tuesday (16th June). This was a result of a violent face-off with the Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley. The cricketers were not behind in showing solidarity with the army and paid tributes to the soldiers who lost their lives.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar offered his deepest condolences while saying that the martyrs will continue to live through the lives they have inspired by their sacrifice.

The Indian captain Virat Kohli, through his Twitter, condoled the death of soldiers and further added that no individual is more selfless and brave than a soldier. Rohit Sharma called the soldiers our ‘real heroes’ and saluted them for their efforts. Shikhar Dhawan also offered his deepest respect.
