India unveil new jersey ahead of WTC final
India’s new kit sponsor Adidas has unveiled new jerseys ahead of the World Test Championship finale against Australia, which is slated to begin on June 7 at the Oval. The famous three stripes are seen on the shoulder of the new kit as the renowned sportswear brand also disclosed that the Rohit Sharma-led side will be wearing two different jerseys in ODI and T20I cricket.
Notably, the new set of jerseys was launched in an event at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. ADIDAS shared it on their Instagram handle and it instantly went viral on various social media handles. Meanwhile, the ODI and T20I jersey has different colour shades as well.
The ODI kit has a light blue colour, which resembles the colour team India had during the 2011 ODI WC. On the contrary, the T20 jersey carries dark blue colours which the team will be seen wearing in the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan. It is not yet confirmed if team India will be wearing the same jersey in the upcoming 2023 ODI WC.
Team India gears up ahead of WTC final
After the completion of the group stage of the recently concluded IPL 2023, the likes of Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav among many others travelled to England to get accustomed to the conditions. Later, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal reached Engalnd. CSK and GT players Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane joined the squad on June 1.
As things stand, all the players have finally reached England and players like Jadeja have already hit the ground running. He was spotted wearing the new kit during practice while players like Kohli, KS Bharat and Jaiswal among a few others already shared images of wearing the practice kit.
