India declare squad for WTC Final and England Test series
The BCCI has declared the squad for the World Test Championship final match against New Zealand and the Test series against England. The WTC final shall be played from 18th June in England. Considering the strict COVID-19 protocols in place, India have declared a larger squad than usual. It consists of 18 men with two selections being subjected to clearing the fitness test. Four extra players shall function as standby.
India’s squad: Virat Kohli (C), Ajinkya Rahane (VC), Rohit Sharma, Gill, Mayank, Cheteshwar Pujara, H. Vihari, Rishabh (WK), R. Ashwin, R. Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Bumrah, Ishant, Shami, Siraj, Shardul, Umesh.
KL Rahul & Saha (WK) subject to fitness clearance.

Wriddhiman Saha tested positive for COVID-19 during the Indian Premier League while KL Rahul had an appendicitis issue. Their selection shall depend on them clearing their fitness tests. Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Arzan Nagwaswalla are the standby players.
