IND vs SL: 1st T20I Preview – High-flying India aim to extend their winning streak

The dust has just settled down on the T20I series between India and the West Indies, but the ‘Men in Blue’ will hardly have any breathing space as they will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series, which will commence on 24th February 2022.

India will enter the T20I series with a lot of confidence. In their previous T20I series against the West Indies, they thrashed the ‘Men in Maroon’ 3-0. For this series, India will be without their regulars Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, while Deepak Chahar has also been ruled out.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka will enter this series low on morale as they were hammered 1-4 by Australia in the land of the kangaroos. They will also miss Wanindu Hasaranga, who has been ruled out due to COVID19 concerns While India will look to continue their winning run, the Sri Lankan side will look to upset Rohit Sharma and Co, in this short three-match T20I rubber.
