India concluded the three-match ODI series with a domineering performance in the final contest in Indore against New Zealand. The Men in Blue won the contest by a massive 90 run, thereby clinching the series 3-0.
It was courtesy of Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, who fired in tandem to hand the side a blazing start. The duo stitched an all-important 212-run partnership which was also the highest by an opening pair against New Zealand in ODIs. The side defended the massive 385-run total as bowlers Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav took the rival batting unit by storm to wrap up the contest.

3. Blair Tickner, Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya- 4 wickets
The tall Kiwi pacer Blair Tickner racked up four wickets along with the likes of India star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and veteran pacer Shami. The trio picked up just one wicket each in the final ODI as the rest of the scalps came across the first and second contests in Hyderabad and Raipur.
2. Mohammed Siraj – 5 wickets
The Mohammed Siraj has been in tremendous form for the Men in Blue lately. The pacer proved to be instrumental Not just in the New Zealand series but also against the Lankan Lions as he got the major breakthroughs time to time. In the series against the Kiwis, he got FIVE wickets under his belt, ending up as the second-leading wicket-taker in the three-match rubber.
1. Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur – 6 wickets
Left arm-wrist spinner Kuldeep and a seasoned pacer in Shardul picked up six wickets each, becoming the joint-highest wicket-takers. While Kuldeep was vital in restricting the rival side from hitting big, Shardul unfurled a Player-of-the-Match spell with the ball in the final ODI as he took three wickets and returned figures of 3/45 in six overs.
