IND vs NZ: Crazy Rohit Sharma fan breaches security during 2nd T20I
A die-hard cricket fan breached the security of the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi to touch Rohit Sharma’s feet during the 2nd T20I against New Zealand. Though the matches are played in strict bio-bubble environments, the fan bumped into the playing area and tried to touch Sharma’s feet. As soon as he chimed in, it caught the attention of the on-lookers.
The video of the same started making rounds on social media platforms. Sharma has taken over as India’s full-time T20I skipper from the home series against New Zealand. The batter has ruled the white-ball format with his sheer flair over the years and is one of the pivotal players of the side across formats.
He has a huge fan base in the country and thus a spectator entering the field to express his respect towards him isn’t a surprising thing. Such instances have often happened on the cricket field and it only exudes the craze and love of the fans for the game.
Rohit also is one of the most successful captains in the IPL wherein he has led the team to the title five times. His stint with the Mumbai Indians further stretches his fan base that adores their captain for his golden run. This incident thus portrays that cricket rules the Indian imagination and the fans leave no opportunity to capture a glimpse of their beloved players.
