IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli mimics MS Dhoni’s legendary helicopter shot during practice hours
The Indian team is all set to lock horns against England in the four-match Test series, starting from February 5 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Men in Blue have completed their six-day mandatory quarantine period due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in Chennai and started training from February 2, Wednesday for the much-awaited upcoming marquee Test series.
The Indian skipper across all formats, Virat Kohli was at his goofy best on Day 1 of the training as he enjoyed playing football and had a fun time with his teammates. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had uploaded a short video on their official Twitter handle that featured some candid moments from India’s training camp.
While in the short clip the cricket enthusiasts saw a glimpse of their favourite players including Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and many more, one instance that caught the attention of the netizens was Virat Kohli playing an imaginary helicopter shot during the practice session.
Interestingly, Helicopter shot is the signature shot of former Indian captain MS Dhoni. Thus, through his actions, Kohli reminded the fans of MS Dhoni and the video soon became the talk of the town and garnered a lot of likes and comments on social media.

England series marks the return of Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli will again lead India in the purest format of the game against England after taking a break against Australia. After leading Team India in the first Test of the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia at Adelaide Oval, Virat had returned back to India to be with his wife Anushka Sharma during the birth of their first child. The couple were blessed with a baby girl on January 11, 2021. In the absence of Kohli, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane had led the team and under his leadership India had retained the prestigious Border Gavaskar Trophy by 2-1.
