IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli does ‘chainsaw celebration’ after Joe Root’s dismissal
England after winning an important toss at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the third Test, lost their plot before the first session could be done and dusted. However, it was a moment of celebration by the Indian captain Virat Kohli which caught the attention of the netizens.
After losing the toss, India made sure they struck early with Ishant Sharma picking up a wicket straight away in his 100th Test. However, the England team was slowly and steadily coming back into the match with a partnership building by their skipper Joe Root and opening batsman Zak Crawley.
With the introduction of Ravichandran Ashwin in the innings, the Indian team was looking in control. But, Root was playing Ashwin with all cautiousness. It was not until Ashwin changed his ploy to around the wicket that the England captain fell into the ploy.

As Ashwin got one to turn sharply after pitching, Root was trapped in front of the stumps as the Indian team appealed. The umpire had no hesitancy in giving him out but Root thought that the ball might be missing the leg stump. However, as soon as the umpire gave him out, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who was standing quite close to the pitch started celebrating aggressively, something for which he is known.
In the first Test of the series, Kohli had said that he felt the team was a little flat and pointed out that was the reason why they lost. However, since the second Test, Kohli and his team haven’t set a foot wrong. We can see Virat Kohli celebrating in his gala way and giving send-offs to the opposition batsmen. The video of Kohli celebrating Root’s dismissal was shared by a fan on Twitter.
