IND vs ENG: Sehwag hilariously trolls England for batting debacle in 3rd Test
Former India batsman Virender Sehwag was known for his unorthodox style and fearless approach when he batted at the highest level. After he retired from all forms of cricket, the Nawab of Najafgarh has continued entertained his fans through his social media handles. In one of his latest tweets, the veteran mocked England for their horrendous batting in the third Test against India at Ahmedabad.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, England were bowled out for 112 in 48.4 overs. Barring Zak Crawley, the only half-centurion, none of the English batsmen could make an impact. Dominic Sibley and Jonny Bairstow also bagged ducks.
What followed on social media was a series of memes from cricket fans mocking the England team for their horrendous batting performance. Sehwag too joined the bandwagon and shared a hilarious tweet on his official Twitter page.

Axar, the destroyer
Axar Patel was the destroyer-in-chief as he ran through the English batting line-up in front of his home crowd. In 21.4 overs, the left-arm spinner picked up six wickets, conceding only 38 runs. After the stupendous spell of bowling, Axar opened up on how he managed to restrict the English batters.
“When things are going for you, you need to capitalise. My aim is to keep wicket to wicket and use the help on offer. In Chennai, the ball wasn’t skidding. But here it is and there are more LBWs. 85-90kph is an optimum speed. With a lot of T20 cricket happening, the effects are there in Tests as well with batsmen being more aggressive,” Patel said.
“That’s why keeping a tight line and pushing it through quicker is being more successful. If the batsman is defending well, then you go on the back foot in your mind. But if he’s not defending well and going for sweeps and reverse-sweeps you feel there’s a chance coming,” Patel added.
