IND vs ENG: Full schedule, squads, timings and all you need to know
After their successful campaign in Australia, India are all set to lock horns with England in a bilateral series. The tour gets underway on February 5 with the opening Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It also marks the return of international cricket in India amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Since India’s home campaign against the Aussies last year, India haven’t played at home.
Chennai will host the first two Tests, followed by Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel Stadium which will host the third and fourth Test in Ahmedabad. Thereafter, all five T20Is will be played at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, starting March 12. The three ODIs will be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune, starting March 28.
Both teams have announced their squads for the upcoming international fixtures. The Three Lions are fresh from their 2-0 Test series win against Sri Lanka and they will be looking to replicate something similar in India. Back in 2016-17, the Brits toured India for a bilateral series.
