IND vs ENG: 3rd ODI Preview – The hard-fought tour ends with a grand final
It is a fitting end to the white-ball leg of England’s tour of India that the ODI series will be decided on Sunday. It has all come down to the decider as it happened in the T20Is. If it was India who came back with the ball to stun the visitors and defend 317, England responded with an even brilliant assault chasing 337 with utter ease in the 44th over.
This has nicely set up a competitive series and it will be interesting to see which team takes the trophy home. England have the momentum with them and they would be eager to win at least one series after coming second in Tests and T20Is. India, on the other hand, rarely lose at home and they will be keen on keeping that record intact.

Team News
India
Batting isn’t a concern for the hosts at the moment. But bowling is. Lack of penetration from the spinners Krunal Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav in the middle overs is worrying. We might see Yuzvendra Chahal replacing the chinaman while T Natarajan can get an opportunity as well thanks to his variations. It will also be interesting to see if India plays an extra bowling option as they missed a sixth bowler in the second ODI.
England
The visitors didn’t miss their skipper Eoin Morgan much with the bat who has been ruled out of the series. Replacements Liam Livingstone and Dawid Malan fared decently and will be keen on contributing more. Reece Topley also did a good job. But Tom Curran’s loss of form with the ball should worry them. With series up for grabs, Mark Wood, who was rested in the second ODI, might replace either Tom Curran or Sam Curran in the XI.
