IND vs ENG: 2nd ODI Preview – India eye series victory against world champions

For a change, India are leading after the first game of a series. It was kind of a weird ODI with the hosts batting out of their character early on before Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul propelling them. Later, England threw away a rollicking start from their opener losing all their 10 wickets in 106 runs. Nevertheless, it was a brilliant comeback from the inexperienced Indian bowling attack and they will be looking to seal the series in the second game itself.
Eoin Morgan backed his men for their aggressive approach after the first ODI but admitted that their execution was poor. The visitors are under the pump now having lost three matches on the trot in the limited-overs leg of the tour and this is their final chance to win at least one series on a long tour to India. Expect England to come hard at India in the must-win encounter.

Team News
India
Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer both were not on the field when India were bowling in the first ODI. Rohit got hit on the elbow off Mark Wood but has been reportedly cleared of any serious injury. However, Iyer is suffering from a serious shoulder injury it seems after diving to save a boundary. He is doubtful for the rest of the series as well but nothing has been made official yet. If he is ruled out, Suryakumar Yadav will most likely make his ODI debut.
England
Like the hosts, even the Three Lions have injury issues as Eoin Morgan and Sam Billings for the must-win game. While Morgan split his webbing during the first innings, Billings suffered a collarbone injury. However, both of them batted in the chase and it remains to be seen if they will be fully fit for the second ODI on time. Liam Livingstone and Dawid Malan might come into the XI if both of them miss out.
