The three-match T20I series between India and Australia is done and dusted and its hosts India, who came from behind to clinch the series 2-1. After losing the opening fixture, Rohit Sharma’s side bounced back to seal the remaining two games. There were plenty of positives for both sides as they looked to do final preparations before the T20 World Cup beginning next month. Few players shone throughout this short series and made their mark ahead of the marquee tournament.

Let’s take a look at the top 5 performers from the India-Australia T20I series:

Cameron Green has announced himself in some way in T20I cricket. He ended the series as the highest run-scorer with 118 runs. Opening the innings, Green smashed two destructive half-centuries at an average of 39.55 and a stellar strike rate of 214.54. He grabbed the Player of the Match award in Australia’s only win in the series in Mohali. 4.Hardik Pandya

It seems to be the year of Hardik Pandya in the T20 format. Having performed as a player and also as a captain for Gujarat Titans in the title-winning IPL campaign, Hardik has continued his solid show for the national side as well. 5.Axar Patel

The list is incomplete without mentioning India’s spinner Axar Patel. The slow left-arm orthodox spin bowler ended the series as the highest wicket-taker. In three matches, Axar took eight wickets at an average of 7.87 and a strike rate of 7.5. His economy rate was just 6.30 with the best bowling figures of 3/17.
