3. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam against India

Pakistan registered a historic win against their arch-rivals India at the 2021 edition of the Word T20 Cup. Batting first, India scored a mediocre 151 runs against Pakistan. In return, Rizwan and Azam created history and reached a partnership of 152* runs for the first wicket. This was the first time that the Men in Green defeated India in a World Cup match.

2. Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara against West Indies

Sri Lanka’s legendary duo Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara come second on the list after stitching a partnership of 166 runs against West Indies during the 2010 T20 World Cup. During the partnership, Jayawardene scored 86 runs off 50 balls while Sangakkara scored 68 off 49 balls. Eventually, the Island nation won the match, thanks to the over-the-top performance of these two veteran batters.
