Hardik Pandya announces engagement to Serbian actress Natasa Stankovic

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has shocked the world on New Year, announcing his engagement to Serbian actress Natasa Stankovic. Pandya made the announcement on his Instagram account with his teammates and fans flooding in to wish the couple.

Pandya wrote on his Instagram, quoting a line from a famous Bollywood tune, “Mai tera, Tu meri jaane, saara Hindustan. ?? 01.01.2020 ❤️ #engaged”

Following the announcement, many of Pandya’s teammates congratulated the couple in the comments section of his account. Skipper Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed all wished the pair on their engagement. Kohli, in particular, sounded surprised writing:

“Congratulations H. What a pleasant surprise ???. Wish you guys great times ahead. God bless ??”

Hardik’s fiancee Natasa is a 27-year old actress and model hailing from Serbia. She made her Bollywood debut in Prakash Jha’s movie Satyagraha. Natasa has also appeared in popular reality shows Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye.

Pandya is currently on a break from the game. He is undergoing rehab for a back injury, which eventually required surgery. He is aiming for a comeback in international cricket during India’s tour of New Zealand in late January.

On his surgery Pandya had said:

“We decided to do the surgery now because we saw the future and thought this is the right time. We thought this was the right time because even if I take four months, I will be coming back before the New Zealand series, mid-way actually. That was the plan that I play some international games, the IPL and then the World T20. The biggest concern was the World T20 which touch wood is now in place. I could have done the surgery a month later, but it would not have helped me in any way.”

With marriage on the cards and comeback within his sights, 2020 is certainly looking like an eventful year for Pandya.
