Glory and grief: Highest and Lowest totals of top ten T20I teams
The most striking aspect of T20 cricket is its volatility. And that is what has made the shortest format of the sport so intriguing and likeable. On one hand, where we have seen the mightiest batsmen thrashing apart the opponents through a flurry of boundaries, we have also witnessed them being bamboozled to hit rock bottom. Let us, on this note, take a look at the highest and lowest scores of all the T20I teams –
India
India ended up with a total of 260/5 against Sri Lanka while playing at Indore during December 2017. Whereas India’s lowest came against Australia, who dismissed them for just 74 long ago in February 2008.
Simply stunning! India smash their highest ever T20I total, as they rack up 260/5 v Sri Lanka in Indore.

England
In November 2019, England ended up with a total of 241/3 against New Zealand to record their highest total ever, whereas, they registered their all-time low against India during the 2012 ICC T20 World Cup when they were undone for just 80 while chasing 171.
South Africa
South Africa recorded their highest ever total in T20Is at Centurion against England as they racked up a massive 241/6, while their lowest came against Australia this very year in February when they got dismissed for a paltry 89 during a chase of 197.

Pakistan
Batting first against West Indies during the 2009 World T20 champions, Pakistan scored 205/3, which stands as their highest total in the format, whereas, they recorded their lowest against Australia in 2012 when they were dismissed for just 74 while chasing 169.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka slammed their highest total in T20Is in 2007 against Kenya when they piled up a massive score of 260/6 against a hapless and inexperienced bowling attack, while the lowest total by the Sri Lankans was recorded against India in February 2016, when they tumbled for 82.

West Indies
West Indies registered their highest total in T20Is in the year 2016, while playing in the USA against a misfiring Indian bowling attack, who were thrashed by the Caribbean as they set a gigantic 245/6 whereas West Indies’ lowest total came in March 2019, when they were bowled out for just 45, chasing 182 against England.
