Chris Gayle recently crossed the threshold of 1000 sixes in T20 cricket. 1000 sixes in one format. The next best is 690 sixes. The sheer magnitude of the number is unbelievable. A player scoring 6000 runs in T20 cricket in his career is a praiseworthy achievement, and Gayle has scored that many runs purely through sixes. But then, that’s what makes him the Universe Boss. He has played for innumerable franchises across the world and hit plenty of sixes for them.
