Geoffrey Boycott responds to viral reaction after Harry Brook’s tame dismissal

England’s horrible batting collapse on the third morning of the second Ashes Test at Lord’s was highlighted by a disappointing look on the iconic Geoffrey Boycott’s face. The former cricketer buried his face in his hands after Harry Brook threw away his wicket, following an unnecessary shot in the morning session. Mitchell Starc removed English skipper Ben Stokes with the very second delivery of the third day. With Stokes back in the hut, the crowd at Lord’s expected a rebuild from a well-set Harry Brook and the incoming Jonny Bairstow.

However, the young dasher continued with his expansive shots, eventually finding the hands of Aussie skipper Pat Cummins after his brisk half-century. Brook’s dismissal induced a distraught reaction from former England cricketer and batting icon Geoffrey Boycott, who was keeping a keen eye on the proceedings from the stands.
