Five Indian cricketers who are playing in foreign T20 leagues
With the onset of several T20 leagues around the world, the players have started taking the roles in such leagues too seriously. Apart from maintaining the glitz and glamour, it gives a great chance to players to play alongside their overseas friends. Every major cricketing nation now has a T20 league of its own, and players especially of that nation mark their participation with utmost zeal over there. Though India’s IPL is deemed as the most precious and glamorous T20 League of the world, some of their players have been seen getting in action in some foreign leagues as well. Let’s look at five players who are playing in foreign T20 leagues.
5. Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj Singh is considered one of the most celebrated big-hitters of the Indian cricket arena. His six sixes in an over will always remain a legacy for Indians to cherish in coming times. The ace batsman amassed 1900 runs in 40 Tests he played for India. He also amassed 1177 runs in 58 IPL matches he played. He drew curtains on his international career in 2019, and it opened doors for him to ply his trade in various T20 leagues. He became a part of the Global T20 league in Canada as well as the Abu Dhabi T10 league last year.

4. Munaf Patel
The Gujarat born pacer etched his name well in the international arena after he debuted for India against England in 2006. In his injury-ridden cricketing career, he donned the Indian jersey in 70 ODIs and named 86 wickets under his belt at an impressive economy of 4.95. He also got 74 wickets in his account in his stint in IPL, playing for Rajasthan, Mumbai, and Gujarat Lions. His pace and swing have earned him a place in the first edition of the Lanka Premier League with Kandy Tuskers.

Tambe is regarded as one of the most underrated spinners of India. The uncapped tweaker went on to bag IPL deals as he proved his mettle in club cricket. He started his IPL journey with Rajasthan in the sixth edition and played later for Kolkata as well. He has 28 wickets on his name in 33 IPL matches. He donned the jersey for Sindhis in hundred ball battle and recently impressed people with his performance in the Caribbean Premier League.
2. Sudeep Tyagi
Tyagi rose to fame after his notable performance for Uttar Pradesh in Ranji Trophy. However, his dream came true when he got the chance to don the Indian blue against Australia in 2009. However, he could just get along with the team in 4 ODIs and one T20I. He featured in only one season of the IPL owing to his dismal campaign with CSK. He drew curtains on his not so illustrious career in 2020 November and is playing for Dambulla Viiking in the current LPL.
1. Irfan Pathan
Another former cricketer from the Indian side who is currently plying his trade in foreign T20 league is Irfan Pathan. The man impressed the people with his prodigious swing movement and also opened for the side on certain occasions. 3000 runs along with 300 international wickets, his stature ranks high in Indian cricket. After playing IPL and for India for a decade, he bid adieu to international cricket earlier in 2020. He is currently with Kandy Tuskers in LPL.
