Veteran pacer James Anderson was simply amazing with the red cherry during the rescheduled Test match. The right-arm pacer took another five-wicket haul during the first innings and gave a perfect start to the England team after scalping opener Shubman Gill in the first over of the second innings. He also played a good knock of 31 runs, but he got a peach of a delivery from Mohammed Siraj. Since stepping down from the captaincy post, Root has been in excellent touch. During the last series against India, he also scored an excellent stoked century during the first Test match and gave vital contributions to his team throughout the series. Overall, he plundered 737 runs in nine innings with four tons and one fifty to end as the highest run-getter of the series.
