The first T20I match of the series between England and Australia was a close affair but England managed to sail towards the victory comfortably in the second. Even with the series in pocket, the hosts still have something to play for in the third T20I. With their third win, they move ahead of Australia in the rankings to take the number one spot in the T20I cricket. The Aussies will fight tooth and nail to avoid a whitewash at the hands of their arch-rivals. The teams are set for their final T20I clash at The Ageas Bowl, Southampton.

The Ageas Bowl, Southampton (10:30 PM IST)

We are likely to have another rain-free game which is good news for all the cricket fans. While both the teams managed 190-plus runs in the first match, Australia could stack up only 157/7 on the board in second. 170 should be the par score in the final game with something in it for the bowlers.

Key Facts To Look Out For:

Team News

England:

Jos Buttler has opted out of this encounter for personal reasons and England will miss their best white-ball dearly. However, this will allow Tom Banton to return at the opening spot. He had opened the innings successfully against Pakistan in the previous series. Jonny Bairstow has one final opportunity to find form in the shortest format. With Banton at the top, Sam Billings is expected to take the vacant spot in the middle order. Rest of the crew is likely to remain the same.

Australia:

Despite two straight losses, Australia are unlikely to make a horde of changes in their final T20I on the tour. They will want a strong performance from their top three and carry the middle-order towards a good total. One weak spot in their bowling line-up has been leg-spinner Adam Zampa. Australia do have an option in Nathan Lyon, however, Zampa provides the wrist-spin variety which will be crucial in tackling with England’s right-handers.
