DC vs SRH Review – Abhishek, Klaasen shine in Hyderabad’s 3rd win
Sunrisers Hyderabad avenged their previous loss against Delhi Capitals as they beat the David Warner-led side by nine runs in Match 40 of IPL 2023 on April 29. After opting to bat first in Delhi, SRH posted a massive 197/6 in their allotted 20 overs with Abhishek Sharma (67 off 36) and Heinrich Klaasen (53* off 27) scoring half-centuries.
In reply, DC could only manage to reach 188/6 in the second innings with Mitchell Marsh (63 off 39) and Philip Salt (59 off 35) scoring fifties. Playing just his second game of the season, Salt played a magnificent knock of 59 off 35 balls in a vital 112-run stand with Mitchell Marsh, which steadied the ship for DC after they lost their captain David Warner early.
However, the spin trio of Mayank Markande, Akeal Hossein and Abhishek Sharma inflicted a collapse in middle overs, reducing DC from 112/1 to 148/6. The collapse was started by Makrande, who bowled a sensational spell of 2/20 and dismissed Salt to break the 112-run Salt-Marsh partnership. In the end, despite the efforts of Axar Patel (27* off 14), DC ended nine shorts as SRH registered their third win to move to eighth spot in the table.
Best Performers of the Match

Later, Marsh plundered 63 off 39 balls, clobbering one four and six gigantic sixes in his innings to be named the Player of the Match despite ending on the losing side.
