David Warner indulges in a Twitter banter with Barmy Army

Australia’s ace batsman David Warner is known to be one of the most jovial personalities on social media. He posts and digs at fellow cricketers often grab the attention of netizens and win hearts. In the latest turn of events, Warner got involved in banter with England’s Barmy Army. England’s group of cricket supporters Barmy Army posted a video of Stuart Broad troubling Cameron Bancroft.

The clip was uploaded from a Test County Championship where Broad caught Bancroft while plying his trade for Nottinghamshire. Posting the video, the caption went like, “Broady with another Aussie in his back pocket.” It was clear that it was an indirect dig at Warner who struggled against Broad during Ashes 2019. However, the great cricketer didn’t let the post get the better of him and in turn, replied in the calm and composed demeanor

“Did you watch the football the other night? Tad high for my liking,” Warner tweeted.

Now, Warner made his indication towards the EURO 2020 finale match that was played between Italy and England at Wembley Stadium. As England played in home conditions, they were deemed as favourites to lift the Championship and had all the support at the stadium but they lost the mega event in the penalty shootout to Italy.

Later, a fan went a step ahead and tried to taunt Warner on his sandpaper gate incident. He posted a picture from a press conference where Warner broke down while apologizing for his actions against South Africa. The picture was indeed showed a sorry state of the Australian batsman but the fan used it for his own fun to dominate his side of statements. However, this time again, Warner had the best and polite answer.

He added that yes, he remembers the picture, and people only move forward by accepting and learning from their mistakes.
