India, on the other hand, overtake England to sit on the third spot in the table with 5 points in 3 matches.

Heading into the contest, the forecast seemed glum with many areas in the United Kingdom being affected by severe weather. The toss was initially delayed due to a wet outfield but the rains returned reducing the possibility of having a full 50-overs per side match to a bare minimum.
