CSK skipper MS Dhoni’s Covid-19 test results are out!
Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has tested negative for coronavirus and will soon join the CSK camp starting on August 15. IPL 2020 is set to be played in the UAE from September 19.
In a mandatory procedure as per BCCI’s SOPs, Dhoni had submitted his swab sample at a Ranchi hospital. As per an IANS report, the result of his test has come out negative. Dhoni will now be joining his teammates in Chennai. The wicket-keeper-batsman has been out of action after India’s semi-final exit in the 2019 World Cup. This year’s IPL in the UAE will be his first assignment since the World Cup.
CSK bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji will be overseeing the 6-day conditioning camp, which will feature players like Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu, etc. A notable absentee will be their star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who will join the squad directly on the flight to UAE on August 21.

Among the other staff members, head coach Stephen Fleming and assistant coach Michael Hussey are likely to join the unit in UAE by August 22. CSK will also expect their South African players, Lungi Ngidi and Faf du Plessis in the UAE by September 1. Another Protea, Imran Tahir will be joining the team after the Caribbean Premier League ends on September 10.
