Cricketers pay tribute to actor Irrfan Khan after his tragic death
One of Bollywood’s finest actors of the current generation, Irrfan Khan sadly passed away in Mumbai at the age of 53. Khan had starring roles in many memorable Bollywood films such as Haasil, Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar, Life in a Metro, Haider, The Lunchbox and Hindi Medium. He was also one of few stars from India who became a recognizable face in Hollywood with roles in big-budget flicks such as The Amazing Spider-Man, Inferno and Jurassic World. Khan was suffering from a neuroendocrine tumour – a rare form of cancer that can target various parts of the body and underwent extensive treatment in London.
Khan was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital on 28th April, where he was receiving treatment for a colon infection. He sadly passed away in the hospital today, leaving the whole of India in a state of shock.
After his untimely demise, many cricketers took to Twitter to pay their heartfelt tribute to a master of his craft. Here we take a look at a few of them.
