Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh in awe of South Africa great AB de Villiers
There are very few cricketers in the world who are admired by fans of almost all the cricketing nations and such is the stature they have built during their professional careers. MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, and AB de Villiers are among the list of players who have a massive following and have maintained a special distinction from the other cricket players.
Speaking about South Africa great, AB de Villiers, the player has arguably more fans in India than in his native country. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is one among the many, who recently had the opportunity to meet the former wicket-keeper batter during the latter’s visit to India.
“Had a great afternoon, hanging, chatting and watching cricket with the legend – ‘Mr.360’ himself @abdevilliers17 (bat and ball emojis) #championofchampions #besttoeverdoit,” shared Ranveer in a post on social media.
In the picture shared on Instagram, Ranveer and de Villiers were seen color-coordinated as the duo wore a black T-shirt. Ranveer relished the moments wherein the two bonded over drinks as seen in one of the pictures while watching a game of cricket.
AB de Villiers predicts T20 World Cup finalists
Speaking about the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 being held down under, while the semi-final fixtures are set to commence, AB de Villers has shared his view on the teams who could potentially make it to the finals.
“I think India will play New Zealand in the final and I think India will win. Everyone is playing well, Suryakumar looks in good form, Virat looks in good form. Rohit has not had his best of runs but he will come to the party when it matters most, he is a fantastic player,” AB de Villiers said.
He further stated that the Indian side looks to be in sublime form and has every possibility of clinching the title. “The whole team of India is very talented. So, I am looking forward for them to have a great game against England, which is the biggest test in my opinion. I believe if they win the semi-finals, they will go onto lift the trophy,” he added.
