Birthday wishes and tributes pour in for Sachin Tendulkar

Cricket’s greatest and most popular batting legend Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his birthday today (24th April). The cricketer became the face of the nation and took the popularity of the sport to the next level. Tendulkar, the doyen of Indian cricket, played for more than two decades and still owns the majority of batting records. The Master Blaster recently recovered from COVID-19. His fans, teammates and current cricketers poured in their wishes and tributes.

One of the die-hard Tendulkar fans on Twitter, Ratnish (@LoyalSachinfan) shared a special video message which consisted of many of the beneficiaries whose lives were directly impacted by the great batsman. They spoke of how Tendulkar came to their aid and helped them serve their aim. These speakers included the authorities of Ekam Foundation, Makunda Hospital, Parivar Education Society, Spine Foundation, Hi5 Youth Education and Seven Hills Hospital amongst others. Batmaker Aslam Chaudhary also reveals how the champion batsman came to his aid when he was suffering from illness.

On this special occasion, the Master Blaster himself could not stay away from the fans for long. Thanking everyone for showering their love, Tendulkar confirmed that he is well and recovering. Making a social appeal, Tendulkar urged COVID warriors to consider plasma donation if their doctor has allowed them to do so. The legend confirmed that he will be donating his plasma once the doctors give him permission to do so. The availability of plasma makes a tremendous difference in the treatment of COVID patients.
