Australian cricketer Shaun Marsh made his international debut during a T20I against West Indies at Bridgetown on June 20 2008. He went on to represent his nation in all three formats and has played 38 Tests, 73 ODIs and 15 T20Is for his side scoring over 5,000 runs across formats. 182 vs West Indies, 1st Test, Hobart, December 2015
After Australian skipper Steven Smith won the toss and elected to bat first, the decision was vindicated by Shaun Marsh and Adam Voges (269*) who helped their team post a massive score of 583/4d. Marsh played a magnificent innings and registered his highest score in Test cricket of 182 with the help of 15 fours and a six in his innings. Australia went on to win the Test by a massive margin of an innings and 212 runs.
112 (112) vs India, 5th ODI, Hyderabad, November 05, 2009
With the series tied 2-2, Australia captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first. Riding on a spectacular hundred by Shaun Marsh (112 off 112) and put up a massive total of 350/4 on the board. Marsh smacked eight fours and two sixes to race to his first ODI hundred. Australia managed to win the match by three runs despite Player of the Match Sachin Tendulkar’s onslaught of 175 (141).
126* vs England, 2nd Test, Adelaide, December 2017
During the second Test of Ashes 2017, Australia’s first innings was held together by Marsh’s splendid hundred (126*) as it helped them reach 442/8 in the first innings. Australia went on to win the match by 120 runs and Marsh was awarded Player of the Match for his magnificent knock.
