Birthday special: Shakib Al Hasan – Astonishing achievements of the Bangla all-rounder
In international cricket over the years, there has been a dearth of quality all-rounders. Even in the present time, only four to five cricketers qualify as genuine all-rounders. One among them is Shakib Al Hasan, arguably the greatest cricketer ever from Bangladesh. Shakib is celebrating his 34th birthday today on 24th March 2021. Let’s look at some of the top records created by Shakib in his career.

Double of a century and 10-wicket haul in a Test
Shakib is among the 3 players who have scored a century and picked up a 10-wicket haul in the same Test match. He achieved this milestone against Zimbabwe in Khulna Test, 2014. Shakib scored 137 runs in the first innings of this game, and also took fifers in each of the innings. His brilliant performance helped the Bangladesh team to win the game by 162 runs.
