BCCI warns players for sharing confidential Yo-Yo Test score
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a verbal warning to the national team players after star batter Virat Kohli disclosed his Yo-Yo test score on social media. Considered as ‘confidential information’, the apex board advised the players to avoid posting such information on social media.
As team India begin their road to the crucial Asia Cup 2023 campaign, preparations are in full swing. The players are in the midst of the five-day skill-enhancement camp in Alur, Karnataka. Prior to the camp, players had to undergo the ‘Yo-Yo’ test to determine their fitness levels for the ACC event.
With this, former India skipper Kohli shared an image of himself on his Instagram story. In the story itself Kohli revealed his Yo-Yo test score.
The players received a verbal warning as the post by Kohli did not amuse the members of the BCCI. The body has now asked the players to avoid revealing confidential information as it leads to breach of contract.
“Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause,” a BCCI official was quoted by the Indian Express.
