BCCI set to bring back live radio commentary, partners with All India Radio

BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced a two-year partnership with All-India Radio (AIR) for live match commentary, starting from India’s home series against South Africa.

The initiative by BCCI comes as an attempt to resurrect the coverage of Indian cricket in every corner of the country. The BCCI-AIR association will help millions of cricket fans and listeners to follow their favourite sport live on radio commentary.

After a successful tour of the Caribbean, Team India kicks off their home campaign with a 3-match T20I series against South Africa. The first T20I will be played in Dharamsala on September 15. The audio commentary will also commence with the start of this series. However, the live coverage will not be restricted to international matches but will also cover select domestic games for the men’s and women’s team.
